Me: WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT PROENZA
Friend: proenza ... didn't leave a significant memory in my head...
Me: well... honestly, it was more onpoint than the majority of nyfw - exception being prabal because is just killing it

Me: yeah, i talked to some people about how i kind of "fell out" of fashion in the past few seasons because the collections have been kind of blah... but last season was pretty memorable to me and i'm excited to see europe now because ny is always a little blah
Friend: yeah, marc jacobs seems like he's trying too hard...?
Me: Sometimes... I actually appreciated all the knits in the Marc Jacobs show and those pilgrim shoes hahahaha. But all the Asian designers are killing it! I think this season Wang def. succeeded in developing his sense of "streetwear" mixed with luxury even though I didn't really care all that much for the presentation :/ Jason Wu was kind of disappointing, Altuzarra was good, Prabal is totally fashion's sweetheart now. I just will forever remember both 2010 seasons - everything was just so on point for everyone
Friend: Yeah! I was going to comment on Jason Wu...I took one look and was like What the ...
Me: I think he just took the "Asian" thing too literally... The last looks at Proenza had what I think is a better interpretation of those Asian patterns. They had the now very "Proenza" shapes and nontraditional colors for the patterns which is miles ahead of a literal interpretation of a theme/concept.
Friend: I'm sorry, why are you not working in the fashion industry right now?
